Ladki Bahin Yojana Instalment: Lakhs of beneficiaries of Ladki Bahin Yojana are eagerly waiting for updates related to the next instalment amount. Many women, who were availing the benefit of the Maharashtra government's flagship scheme were unable to get their February month instalment because of the civic body polls in the state.
Many beneficiairies are still reportedly waiting for their pending instalments and are likely to receive the pending instalment in next two to three days. Meanwhile, many want to know about details related to Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment in April.

When Will Ladki Bahin Yojana Instalment Be Released in April?
As per the past Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment distribution trends, the government often releases the amount in the first half of the month. Hence, beneficiaries are likely to get the Rs 1,500 amount before April 15.
Ladki Bahin Yojana February Month Instalment Process Begins
Maharashtra's Minister for Women and Child Development, Aditi S Tatkare, in a social media post announced that the disbursement of the February month instalment of the Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme began on March 29. Scheme beneficiaries are likely to receive the pending instalment this week.
"The technical process for distributing the February month's honor fund to all eligible beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme has been started from today. In the next 2-3 days, this honor fund will be deposited into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of all eligible beneficiaries," read a social media post by Tatkare on X.
Maharashtra Govt Reduces Ladki Bahin Yojana Allocation
In a separate development, the state government in March reduced allocation for the welfare scheme. In the Maharashtra Budget 2026-27, the state government sharply reduced funding for the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana, according to an Indian Express report. Meanwhile, the uncertainty around the increment in Ladki Bahin Yojana instalment amount continues to remain as it is.
Under the welfare scheme, beneficiaries get around Rs 1,500 payout every month, but the Mahayuti government earlier announced that the amount will be raised to Rs 2,100. As per the IE report, the new budget provides Rs 26,500 crore for the scheme, which is less than the Rs 36,000 crore allocated in the year 2025-26. The earlier outlay for the scheme rose after the state government sought an additional Rs 6,102 crore through supplementary demands during the current financial year.
About Ladki Bahin Yojana
The Maharashtra government introduced a welfare initiative known as the Ladki Bahin Yojana, alternatively referred to as the Ladki Bahini Yojana or Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana. This program is designed to provide financial assistance to women between the ages of 21 and 65. Through this scheme, qualified women will receive a sum of Rs 1,500 each month, which will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. This move aims to empower women within this age bracket by offering them financial support.
Ladki Bahin Yojana Benefits
Ladki Bahin Yojana is a woman welfare scheme, where the Maharashtra government offers monthly financial assistance of R 1,500 to eligible women. The scheme was launched as an extension of Madhya Pradesh's Ladli Bahin Yojana scheme, which was launched by the state government in 2023.
