Wipro announced changes to its Chief Growth Office, with Stephanie Trautmans departure effective December 31, 2023, marking another high-level exit in the company.

In a significant development, IT services giant Wipro has announced changes to its Chief Growth Office (CGO), with incumbent Stephanie Trautman set to step down from her role effective December 31, 2023. This marks another high-level departure from the Bengaluru-headquartered company.
Stephanie Trautman to Step Down
As part of its ongoing transformation, Wipro has decided to restructure its CGO. Stephanie Trautman, who has held the position of CGO, will be stepping down from her role on December 31, 2023. The company made this announcement in a statement.
Growth Office's Achievements
Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte highlighted the role of the Growth Office in reimagining the company's approach to large deals, account development, partnerships, and sales processes. The office was also instrumental in developing a blueprint for building strategic solutions for clients.
Under Trautman's leadership, the Growth Office helped Wipro achieve a new level of consistency in booking large deals. This success has laid a strong foundation for the company's next phase of growth.
Integrating Strategic Pursuits Team into SMUs
Wipro is taking the next step in the evolution of the CGO by integrating the Strategic Pursuits team, previously under the CGO, into its Strategic Market Units (SMUs). This move aims to build on the processes and approaches developed by the CGO and bring the experienced team closer to clients and on-the-ground sales teams.
According to Wipro, this integrated approach will enable the company to uncover new growth opportunities, enhance its speed to market, and increase its success rate in winning deals.
Remaining Functions Under Delaporte's Oversight
The remaining functions of the Growth organization will be overseen directly by Thierry Delaporte, Wipro's CEO and Managing Director. This decision reflects the company's commitment to maintaining a strong focus on growth and ensuring a smooth transition during this period of change.
Wipro's announcement of changes to its Chief Growth Office signals a strategic shift in the company's approach to growth and client engagement. With Stephanie Trautman's departure and the integration of the Strategic Pursuits team into SMUs, Wipro aims to build on its past successes and drive further growth in the competitive IT services industry.
