Are you thinking of buying travel insurance but are not sure if it's the right decision? We have heard this popular phrase that uncertainty is the only certain thing in life and this has gone true for most of us at one point or the other. Still, we ignore this reality and things will always go according to our and we will never face any financial or medical emergencies in life.
However, there are certain things that are beyond our control, though precautionary measures can be taken to avoid an unfavorable situation be cannot guarantee that nothing wrong will happen to us in our entire life. Similarly, while traveling, there are chances that a lot of things can go wrong, like accidents, theft of luggage, or we may face a health issue that requires immediate care. Here is where we feel the need to purchase travel insurance online to provide a safety net to fall back on in case of any unforeseen incidents.

Currently, not all credit cards offer travel insurance in India. While some do provide basic coverage, their benefits are often limited. Credit card insurance policies usually tend to cover the expenses of only the cardholder, whereas, travel insurance policies purchased online have the option to provide coverage to other co-travelers under the policy.
Ram had forgotten to buy an overseas travel insurance plan. During the trip, he faced some breathing difficulties and had to be rushed to the hospital and was admitted overnight at the New York Hospital. His family was emotionally broken but was not concerned about the huge medical bill because his wife had a Platinum credit card from American Express, which also covered any emergency medical hospitalization across the world.
Thus, we see the family was saved from financial burden because they had opted for a travel insurance plan. These situations can happen to anyone, and therefore it is recommended to apply for travel insurance cover.
