- Entry of Age: 60-69 years.
- Renewal: Lifelong
- Sum Assured: Rs 1 lakh to 5 lakh
- Other details: 1) 10% co-payment for treatment in non-network hospitals, 20% copayment if the person is 56 years and above 2) For people aged 56 and above, buying silver health for the first time, 20% copayment is applicable.
Bajaj Allianz's Silver Health Plan
- Entry of Age: 46 yrs to 75 years
- Renewals upto: 75 years
- Preexisting Disease: After 1 years
- Sum Assured: 50,000- 5 lakhs
- Other details:0% co-payment the admissible claims to be paid by the member if treatment is taken in a hospital other than a network hospital. Waiver of co-payment is available on payment of additional premium.
Apollo Munich Insurance Optima Senior
- Entry age: 61 years onwards
- Renewals upto: Lifelong
- Preexisting Disease: After 3 years
- Sum Assured: 1 lakh to 5 lakhs
- Incase of no claims additional 5% discount on subsequent premiums
Max Bupa- Heartbeat Plan
- Entry age: No limit
- Renewals: Lifelong
- Preexisting Disease: After 4 years
- Sum assured: Rs 2 lakhs-3 lakhs
- Details: 20% copayment for insurer above 65 years
National Insurance Varistha Mediclaim policy
- Entry age: 60-80years
- Renewals: 90 years
- Preexisting Disease: After 1 year
- Sum assured: Rs 1 lakh (hospitalization)-2 lakh(Critical illness)
- Details: 10% copayment and 10% claim amount to be borne by insurer
United India Insurance: Senior Citizen Plans
- Entry age: 61-80 years
- Renewals: Lifelong
- Sum assured: Rs 50,000- 3 lakhs
- Details: 20% claim amount to be borne by insurer
New India Assurance company Senior Citizen Mediclaim Policy
- Entry age: 60-80 years
- Renewals: upto 90
- Preexisting disease: After 18 months
- Sum assured: Rs 1 lakh-1.5 lakhs
- Details: 10% extra basic premium plan to cover BP and diabetes
There is no perfect plan for such type of insurance, it depends on the age and cover one is looking. One should choose based on his requirements.
