Yes Bank, an Indian private sector bank headquartered in Mumbai, has announced the latest interest rates on its fixed deposits of less than Rs 3 Cr. Interest rates will now range from 3.25% to 7.00% for fixed deposit tenures ranging from 7 days to 120 months. Yes Bank will give the maximum interest rate of 7.75% for non-senior residents and 8.25% for senior citizens on their term deposits with a term bucket of 12 to 24 months. According to Yes Bank's official website, the latest and most recent FD rates go into effect on April 1, 2025.

On fixed deposit tenure of 7 days to 14 days, the bank will offer an interest rate of 3.25% and on term deposits comes with a tenure of 15 days to 45 days, Yes Bank will offer an interest rate of 3.70%. Yes Bank FD booked for a tenure of 46 days to 180 days will fetch an interest rate of 5.00%, and those booked for a tenure of 181 days to 271 days will fetch a 6.25% interest rate.
For FD tenures ranging from 272 days to 12 months and 12 months to 24 months, Yes Bank will give interest rates of 6.50% and 7.75%, respectively.
FDs from Yes Bank that mature in 24 to 60 months will now earn 7.25% interest, while those that mature in 60 days to 120 months will now earn 7.00% interest.

"Resident senior citizen earn additional interest 0.50% for tenure less than 3 years and 0.75% p.a. for tenure of 3 years and above on Fixed Deposits value less than INR 5 Cr," mentioned Yes Bank on its website.
Through YES Online, iris (a mobile app), YES Robot, and WhatsApp Banking, customers can instantly create fixed deposits up to Rs 5 Cr from the comfort of their homes. At Yes Bank, the minimum tenure for a reinvestment fixed deposit is six months and one day, while the minimum amount to book a fixed deposit is Rs 10,000.
While floating rate fixed deposits can only be prematurely withdrawn by visiting a YES Bank branch, regular fixed deposits can be prematurely withdrawn via YES Online, iris by YES BANK (mobile app), or in the presence.
On April 1, 2025, HDFC Bank, the largest private-sector lender in India, unexpectedly slashed interest rates on fixed deposits of less than Rs 3 Cr. The bank reduced interest rates by 35 and 40 basis points, respectively, for two specific tenures: two years eleven months to thirty-five months and four years seven months to fifty-five months. A maximum interest rate of 7.25% would be offered to investors on HDFC Bank FDs that mature in 18 to 21 months. For fixed deposits ending in 2 years 11 months to 35 months, HDFC Bank has lowered interest rates from 7.35% to 7%. Meanwhile, HDFC Bank FDs with a duration bucket of 4 years 7 months - 55 months will now attract an interest rate of 7%, down from 7.40% before, which represents a rate cut of 40 bps.
