The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to revise the FASTag Annual Pass fee from the financial year 2026-27. The charges rise from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075. The new FASTag rule will take effect on 1 April, 2026.
The FASTag annual pass fee revision follows the National Highways Fees Rules, 2008. With less than a month left in the implementation of the new rules. Here are all the details to know.
NHAI FASTag Annual Pass Fee Change: How Much Hike To Take Place From 1 April?
The NHAI FASTag Annual Pass fee will be revised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 from the next financial year. As per the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, the new rates will be applicable from 1 April, 2026.

New FASTag Annual Pass Rates: Who Will It Apply To?
The updatedd FASTag annual pass rates will be applicable to eligible non-commercial vehicles that already use a valid FASTag id. The FASTag annual pass can be used at about 1,1500 fee plazas across National Highways and National Expressways. The Ministry highlights that the structure remains under the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.
What is FASTAG Annual Pass?
The annual FasTAG annual pass is a one-time payment scheme for private vehicles, offering unlimited or capped travel (up to 200 trips) through specific NHAI toll plazas for Rs 3,000 per year.
Vehicle owners who buy the FASTag annual pass pay a single amount instead of adding money every now and then before heading for a road trip. The pass remains valid for one year or a total of 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever ends first. THe facility is open to all non-commercial vehicles, as long as the FASTag on that vehicle stays valid.
How To Download and Activate FASTag Annual Pass?
The new FASTag annual pass continues through digital platforms.
-Obtain a FASTag annual pass by downloading the Rajmargyatra application.
- Download and install the application. Login using your credentials, then opt to activate FASTag annual pass.
-People can also visit NHAI website to download and install the FASTag annual pass.
Users pay the one-time amount on the Rajmarg Yatra app or the official National Highways Authority of India website. The pass then activates within two hours on the linked FASTag. This helps existing 56 lakh users move smoothly to the new fee period.
The FASTag Annual Pass first becomes available on 15 August 2025. According to the Ministry, uptake since launch is strong among private vehicle owners, now crossing 56 lakh users. The Ministry notes that the scheme offers "greater convenience and cost-effective travel option" for people using National Highways across India.
