Eligibility Criteria for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2O25: Who Can Apply?
To avail benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria outlined by the Government of India. The scheme primarily targets individuals and families from economically weaker backgrounds, aiming to provide them with affordable housing assistance.
One of the key conditions is that the applicant and their immediate family must not own a pucca (permanent) house anywhere in India. Additionally, the applicant must be a resident of a city or town that is officially notified under the PMAY scheme.
The scheme categorises beneficiaries based on annual household income. These categories are:
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): Annual income up to Rs 3 lakh
