SBI holiday today: SBI Bank is closed today (January 27) as it's the fourth Saturday of this month. SBI saw a long weekend this month as the bank was closed yesterday (Jan 26) on account of Republic Day followed by the fourth Saturday the regular Sunday closure. One must note that public sector banks in India remain closed on all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturday of each month, in addition to gazetted holidays as mentioned in the RBI holiday calendar 2024.
Besides, bank holidays are not necessarily the same across all the cities or states in India, but they also vary depending on regional festivals across states. For example, on Maharashtra Day banks in Maharashtra will remain closed, but in other states, the banks will function as usual unless it's a regular holiday or a state-specific festival.

This week, Indian banks enjoyed a three-day weekend starting this Friday and wrapping up on Sunday.
It is always advisable to keep track of the RBI holiday calendar and the SBI official website if you are planning to visit your nearest SBI branch for any financial work.
One should note that if SBI Bank is closed on a particular day, it does not mean people will not have access to essential digital services like the Internet, UPI, and mobile banking. Even on SBI Holiday, people can conduct financial transactions via online mode. SBI's online services ensure that while the physical branches may close, banking services remain accessible to people.
SBI's online banking services, including net banking and mobile banking, are available 24/7, even on bank holidays.
Bank Holidays in February 2024:
Banks will work for only 18 days in the month of February as banks will remain closed for a total of 11 days next month. Apart from special occasions including festivals, and birth anniversaries these holidays also include regular holidays which are Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
SBI Bank branches to remain closed in select cities on Feb 2 and Feb 5:
All SBI branches in Sikkim will remain closed on February 2 on the occasion of Sonam Losar. Sonam Lhosar is a New Year's Day festival of the Hyolmo and Tamang people of Nepal as well as Sikkim and Darjeeling regions of India.
Meanwhile, on February 5, all SBI branches will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh on account of Hazrat Ali Jayanti.
