If you have an account with the State Bank of India (SBI) and worried about the new withdrawal limit of Rs 20,000 per day that is effective from this week, you should know that the banker has imposed the limit on certain debit cards only. These include the Classic and Maestro debit cards that are held by a majority of the account holders.
"Daily cash withdrawal limits for Classic and Maestro debit cards reduced from Rs 40,000 to Rs 20,000 per day with effect from 31st Oct 2018," says the notification on SBI's official website.
There are other variants of SBI cards that still provide the older withdrawal limits that are higher than Rs 20,000.
1. SBI Platinum International Debit Card
This international debit card allows you to make payments online anywhere in the world and also withdraw cash. It comes with a daily cash withdrawal limit of Rs 1 lakh.
2. SBI Gold International Debit Card
Besides being able to withdraw cash anywhere in the world with a limit of Rs 50,000 per day, you can make payments for your purchases online and offline using this international debit card.
3. SBI Global International Debit Card
It works like any other debit card with a limit of Rs 40,000 on daily cash withdrawal. The added advantage is the access for make those withdrawals and payments around the globe.
4. SBI Mumbai Metro Combo Card
This card comes with a special feature of being a payment-cum-access card to be used at Mumbai Metro stations. It also has regular debt card features like payments (online and at merchant outlets) and comes with an ATM cash withdrawal limit of Rs 40,000.
