How To Use The UPI App Payment In ICICI Bank Mobile Banking App?
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is an online platform for transactions introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India. By using UPI we can undertake fund transfer and merchant payments in a single mobile application.
Any smartphone user who has an account with a UPI-partnered bank can undertake transactions. Not every bank is partnered with UPI as yet. At the moment nearly 27 banks are providing UPI service at present.
Here is how to use UPI services on the ICICI Bank imobile banking app?
For using UPI in imobile app all you need to have is a smart phone with mobile banking app and internet connection.
Home Page
Once you enter into the app by entering the 4-digit login pin on the homepage you can see on the right middle of the screen there is something called UPI with its logo. That's the option you need to select to do a UPI transaction.
UPI Menu
There will be two drops down boxes named transact and manage for doing transaction. You need to select transact and in that drop down menu you need to select what kind of transaction you want to do: There are four options:
- Pay to virtual address
- Pay to Account number
- Pay using QR Code
- Collect from Virtual Payment address
- UPI Transaction History
Pay to virtual address
If you want to do a payment or transfer fund to an individual who has a VPA you need to click on Pay to Virtual address in which you can see four fields. They are:
Payer Virtual Payment address (in this field you need to give VPA of the account from which you want to pay).
Payee Virtual Payment Address(the VPA Address of whom you want to pay).
Enter Amount (amount you want to send)
Remarks (this is not a mandatory field but it is useful for future reference)
Click submit to finish the procedure.
Pay to Account number
If you are paying to account you need to chose one of the already registered payees or you need to add if you are paying to a new payee. Once you click pay to account number there you can see 5 fields. These are:
Payer Virtual Payment address (In this field you need to give VPA of the account from which you want to pay).
Fund transfer (need to check the box accordingly if the payee is within then need check in within icici if not outside icici)
To which Payee Account (Here you can select the payee or you can add a new one)
Enter Amount (Amount you want to send)
Remarks (This is not a mandatory field but it is useful for future reference)
Click submit to finish the procedure.
Pay using QR Code
This method you can use only with registered UPI merchants and for registered merchants around can be found by clicking on this link.
In this method all you need is to scan the QR Code and enter the amount and click on submit.
Collect from Virtual Payment address
In case if you want to request money from another individual who has VPA address you have to go for this option once you click you can see
receive funds on Virtual Payment address (In this field you need to give VPA of the account from which you want to get payment).
Collect from Virtual Payment Address(The VPA Address of whom you want to request money for).
Enter Amount(Amount you want to send)
Remarks(This is not a mandatory field but it is useful for future reference)
Then Click on submit to finish the transaction.
UPI Transaction History
This is the place where you can check your transaction history and if you miss to approve or reject any request from anyone individual here you will find it and can take action immediately.
