The Income Tax Department has released a mobile app that allows taxpayers to examine their information from the Annual Information Statement (AIS) / Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS). The 'AIS for Taxpayer' app is a free app given by the Income Tax Department with the goal of providing a full picture of the AIS/TIS to the taxpayer. The AIS app displays information relevant to the taxpayer obtained from various sources. This app is available on Google Play and the App Store and is designed to offer the taxpayer a comprehensive perspective of the AIS/TIS by displaying information gathered from multiple sources relevant to the taxpayer.
According to an official release from the Income Tax Department, taxpayers may conveniently examine information about their TDS/TCS, interest, dividends, share transactions, tax payments, and Income Tax refunds by using the new AIS app. Users can also see additional information available in AIS/TIS, such as Tax data and international remittances. Furthermore, the app allows users to submit input on the information displayed.
Features
- On the Mobile Home Screen, you may see their information (Name and PAN).
- The title contains the Taxpayer Information Summary (TIS) and the Annual Information Statement (AIS).
- Taxpayers can also submit input on the current information provided in the TDS/TCS Information, ST Information, and Miscellaneous information sections.

- In PDF format, you may download AIS information, offer feedback, and consolidate input.
- The Chatbot in the app or on the website responds to taxpayer inquiries.

How to Download and use AIS for Taxpayer mobile App?
- Open Google Play on your Android smartphone or the Apple App Store on your iPhone.
- Find the AIS for Taxpayer app.
- Install the app.
- After downloading, you must register in the app to have access to all of your information.
- Launch the AIS for Taxpayers App.
- Click the "Register" button.
- Insert your PAN (Permanent Account Number) in the appropriate area and press the "Continue" button.
- Your registered mobile number and email address will get an OTP (One Time Password). Insert the OTP in the appropriate field and press the "Verify" button.
- After authentication, you will be requested to create a 4-digit M-PIN in order to access the mobile app. Enter a PIN and then press the "Confirm" button.
- You will now be led to the app's dashboard, where you may use the AIS's numerous features and services.
How to check AIS?
- Login to the official website using the credentials
- Select Annual Information Statement (AIS) in the Services tab
- Choose the AIS tab
- To see the Annual Information Statement, choose the relevant fiscal year and then click on the AIS tile
