What is the Ayushman Bharat scheme?

Ayushman Bharat health insurance covers almost all tertiary and secondary hospitalisation, pre-hospitalization, medication, and post-hospitalization expenses incurred during treatment. How to check Eligibility-
- Go to the official government website for PMJAY scheme -
- From the homepage's menu, select the "Am I Eligible" tab.
- Enter mobile phone number and CAPTCHA code
- Now, click Generate OTP.
- Enter your home state as well as your name, ration card number, household number, or mobile phone number.
- If you are eligible, your name will appear in the list
- After determining your eligibility from the online portal's list, you should proceed to the Ayushman Bharat Yojana online registration process.
Documents Required
- Proof of age and identity (Aadhaar Card/PAN Card)
- Contact information (mobile, address, email)
- Certificate of Caste
- Income verification (maximum annual income to be only up to Rs. 5 lakh a year)
- Documentation proving the current status of the covered family (Joint or nuclear)

How to apply for PMJAY scheme online?
- Complete the eligibility check on the PMJAY official website (https://pmjay.gov.in/).
- If you qualify, your name will appear on the right side of the page.
- Complete the Ayushman card online registration by completing the application form.
- Submit the form along with the documents attached.
- The relevant authorities will review your application.
- If your application is approved, you will receive an online Ayushman card in the form

- Go to the official website
- Now, sign in with your email address and create a password.
- To proceed, enter your Aadhaar number.
- Select the authorised beneficiary option.
- It will be redirected to their customer service centre.
- Now, in CSC, enter your password and the pin number.
- It will be taken to the home page.
- You will see a download form where you can get your Ayushman Bharat golden card.
