A locker facility is one of the ancillary services that a bank provides to its customers. Lockers are used to keep important documents, jewellery, loan papers, savings bonds, and other items safe. This service is not available at every bank location. High-security features and specially designed strong rooms are installed in branches with lockers. For this service, banks charge a fee based on the size of the locker. Bank locker fees vary according to locker size and location (urban, rural, or metro).
