LPG Price Hike: The Centre on Monday raised the price of cooking gas, also called Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). The price per cylinder of LPG will rise by Rs 50 from Rs 500 to Rs 500 for PM Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries, whereas for normal users , the LPG price hike will raise the cylinder price from Rs 803 to Rs 853 per cylinder, said Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri.
The government has increased the LPG price, but eligible customers can avail the benefit of the LPG subsidy on higher prices. However, users must link their Aadhaar card with LPG online and offline.

While announcing the LPG price hike and increase in excise duty on petrol and diesel, Hardeep Singh Puri said, "This is a step which we will review as we go along. We review these every 2-3 weeks. Therefore, the excise duty that you have seen increase is not to go on to the consumer on petrol and diesel."
If you haven't linked your LPG connection with your Aadhaar card yet and are eligible to get an LPG connection subsidy, then here is a step-by-step guide to do so.
