1. E-Passbook Facility
Earlier last year in 2022, government launched e-passbook facility for post office savings bank scheme. Customers now can access their account details from any location without visiting the bank in a hassle-free manner. Follow the given steps below:
- Open post office app and sign into your account with the help of credentials
- Click on statement option under "Balance and Statement"
- Choose mini statement and press on "Go"
- You will be redirected to dashboard where you will get the option to check balance and statement
- If you click on statement, you will receive mini statement and account statement option
- Select statement option and tenure for which you desire to see statement
- Statement will open for download
2. Through SMS
If you desire to check your post office savings account balance, type "REGISTER" and send it to "7738062873" from your mobile number registered with you post office savings or current account.
After your mobile number gets registered for SMS facility, you will be able to check your post office saving balance by simply typing "Bal" and send it to "7738062873".
Get mini statement by just typing "Mini" and send to "7738062873".
3. Missed Call Service
In order to register for missed call banking service, dial 8424054994 from your registered mobile phone.
After your mobile number gets registered, you can give a missed call to 8424054994 for fetching mini statement and balance enquiry.
4. IPPB Mobile App
Download IPPB mobile app on your mobile, fill account number, customer ID (CIF)/date of birth, and registered mobile number. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile phone and you have to verify it.
Registration will be complete after OTP authentication. Set an MPIN to log into the app. Under dashboard, you can check your account balance.
5. Phone Banking
Dial 155299 (toll-free) from your registered mobile number and follow the IVRS commands.
Choose the language and select your saving account details.
Choose "get account balance" option to see your account balance.
6. Post Office QR Code
You need to scan QR code displayed on the QR card of post office.
You will get an OTP on your registered mobile number and verify it.
Now fill the OVD authentication and you will receive the account balance on your mobile phone without any hassle.
7. Online Banking
In order to check your post office saving account balance through online banking, you must create an account at official website of India Post.
After account activation process, you will receive a "User ID and Password" that you may change anytime. Follow the steps below to check post office saving account balance online:
- Log into DOP e-banking portal and fill your user ID and Password.
- You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number
- Enter OTP to verify
- Now choose Accounts option and you can check your account available balance
