Soon, this one-of-a-kind service will be offered in Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Pune, and Ranchi. According to a statement released today by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, a new service will be launched soon that will allow LPG customers to choose which distributors they want to replenish their cylinders from.
The consumer will be provided a list of delivering distributors along with their performance rating when scheduling an LPG refill through the mobile app/customer portal using their registered login. To receive an LPG refill, the customer can choose from any of the distributors on the list that are available in his or her area. The service will not only provide clients more options, but it will also encourage healthy competition among distributors to supply customers with the best in class services and improve their performance ratings.

The Oil Marketing Companies under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas are constantly improving their facilities to give a smooth digital experience to clients, as part of the Digital India agenda. LPG connection from Umang App
Customers can also book LPG refills through the UMANG (Unified Mobile App for New Governance) app or the Bharat Bill Pay System applications and platforms, in addition to the aforesaid digital means. Customers can now order refills and make purchases through popular e-commerce apps such as Amazon, Paytm, and others.
LPG connection Portability for LPG consumers
LPG clients have the option of transferring their LPG connection to another distributor covering the same area via the web-portals and mobile apps of their respective OMCs.
Customers can choose an OMC distributor from a list of distributors covering their area and choose for the porting of their LPG connection using their registered login. The source distributor has the option of contacting the customer and persuading him or her to change his or her mind. If the customer is not convinced, he or she has three days to withdraw the portability request. Otherwise, the connection is instantly transferred to the intended distributor.
