Post office customers are also charged for transactions made at ATMs that exceed the number of free transactions allowed. At its ATMs, India Post, or the Department of Post, provides five free transactions a day. Financial and non-financial transactions are included.

A holder of a Post office Savings Bank Account may apply for a Post office ATM card at the time of account opening or later. They can also visit the post office and fill the required application and a Debit card will be delivered to the registered address.

How to generate a Post Office Green PIN?
Customers have the option of generating their own Post Office PIN in minutes at the Post Office. Creating a PIN via ATM, internet banking, SMS, or calling the India Post Office customer service is a simpler and more convenient option.
How to Generate Post Office PIN by SMS?
Account-holders may also change their Green PIN by sending a text message from their registered cell phone number.
How to generate Post Office Debit Card PIN at Post Office ATM?
Individuals can change or create their Post Office Debit card PIN by going to a Post Office ATM near them. The following is the procedure for generating the PIN:
Step 1: Visit nearest Post Office ATM
Step 2: Insert the debit card into the ATM
Step 3: Choose the 'PIN Generation' option
Step 4: Enter your 11-digit account number
Step 5: Enter again and click 'Confirm'
Step 6: Enter the registered mobile number and click 'Confirm'.
Note: Your green PIN will be sent to your registered mobile number shortly will be displayed.
Step 7: After that, you will receive a message on your phone with the OTP or the green PIN.
You must visit any Post Office ATM within two days
Step 1: Visit post office ATM
Step 2: Select the 'Banking and click PIN Change' option
Step 3: Enter the OTP obtained on your registered mobile number
Step 4: Change the PIN for the Post Office ATM
How to Generate Post Office ATM Card PIN Online?
Step 1: Log in to your account using internet banking credentials
Step 2: Select the option of Card Pin, under the main Menu
Step 3: In Debit Card PIN section, Click on Generate PIN
Step 4: Choose the debit card and details like your 16 digit number, CVV code
Step 5: Enter the grid number (mentioned on the back of the card)
Step 6: Click Generate OTP.
Step 7: Enter the 4 digit OTP
Step 8: Create the new PIN.
PIN generation confirmation will appear on the net banking display, as well as on your registered mobile number and email address.
