How to change the address
On the union government website https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/ , you can update your address details easily. It is a self-service update portal to ease your work. The government website informs that there is 32 proof of identity documents you upload after scanning while changing the Aadhaar card address online. You should have your documents including passport, PAN card, ration/PDS photo card, voter ID, driving license (DL), etc. for the process.
After you log in to the ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/ website, you need to click on the 'Proceed to Update Aadhaar' window to start the process. Keep your Aadhaar card with you and put the 12-digit UID number on the window. Then the portal will ask you to enter the security code or captcha code given at the website. Put the captcha accurately to proceed, and click at the 'Send OTP' window.
Then an OTP will be received on your linked mobile number. Hence you need to keep the linked working mobile number with you. As you receive the OTP, put it on the website where it is asked. After that, you can log in to the portal to change the details. You can find a 'Login' window on the website below.
After logging in, your Aadhaar details will be displayed on the website. Here you will be able to change the address and upload scan copy of any of the 32 documents mentioned in the portal to update. Then put your new address and change it. You will be able to check the new status of your Aadhaar card by checking the Aadhaar card address change status. This is how you can change the address in the UIDAI easily, online by yourself. Changing the address could be time-consuming if you wanted to do it physically, with the official's help. But this method will save your time precisely.
