Aadhaar number is now one of the key identity documents to avail the government scheme's benefits, however, its use is not limited to government schemes. If you wish to link your bank account to your Aadhaar number, you may do so by submitting a copy of your Aadhaar card to your local branch or by linking it online through the bank's website. Even if you have submitted your Aadhaar data at your branch, there is still a chance that the bank did not link Aadhaar to your account correctly, or that the bank has not linked Aadhaar to your account because they misplaced your details. Here's how to see if your Aadhaar has been connected to your bank account, follow the step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Visit the Aadhaar website - www.uidai.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the "My Aadhaar" tab and click on "Aadhaar Service". Now, click on the "Check Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status" option from the options. You will be Direct to a page where you need enter your UID number and a security code.
Step 3: As shown on the screen, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit Virtual ID and security code. An OTP will be delivered to your registered mobile number in the Aadhaar database once you've submitted the form.
Step 4: Select "send OTP." An OTP will be sent to your mobile number linked with the Aadhaar.
After entering your OTP, you will be routed to a screen stating that your Aadhaar mapping is complete, indicating that your Aadhaar card is linked to your bank account.
