Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio has announced a 'Emergency Data Loan' option, which allows phone customers to borrow data and pay it back later. Prepaid users can borrow up to 5 Emergency Data packs of 1GB each (valued at Rs 11 per pack) through this service. You can get up to 5 Emergency Data Loan packs without having to pay right away. Per user, the maximum lending amount is Rs 55 or 5 packs. This service is currently available to all Jio prepaid smartphone users.

Step 1: Go to the menu on the top left of the page in the MyJio App.
Step 2: Under mobile services, select 'Emergency Data Loan.'
Step 3: On the emergency data loan banner, click 'Proceed.'
Step 4: Select the 'Get emergency data' option from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: To access the emergency loan advantage, click 'Activate now.'
