Step-By-Step Guide On How To Add Family Members' Profiles With mAadhaar App

mAadhaar, the official mobile application developed by UIDAI is more than Aadhaar card in a wallet. Users can link the profiles of their family members with the mAadhaar app of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). One must note that only someone with an Aadhaar linked to a registered mobile number can create Aadhaar profile in the mAadhaar App.

On one hand, the mAadhaar profile is accepted as valid ID proof, and on the other, residents can use the features in the app to share their eKYC or QR code with service providers who seek Aadhaar verification of their customers before providing Aadhaar services.

mAadhaar app provides an interface for Aadhaar card number holders to carry their demographic information including, name, date of birth, gender, and address along with a photograph as linked with their Aadhaar number.

One can easily add their family member profiles to the mAadhaar app by following a few simple steps.

Note that Aadhaar cardholders can add up to three user profiles to the mAadhar app, all having the same mobile number registered in their Aadhaar. All family members must have their Aadhaar cards linked to a registered mobile number. Besides, you can add profiles of only those family members whose mobile numbers are the same as those registered with your Aadhaar.

• Enter the Aadhaar card number of your family member.
• Verify the details and accept the terms and conditions.
• Your family member will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Ask them to share the OTP with you.
• Type the OTP in the app.
• Once verified, your family member's profile will be added to your app.

Once you successfully add your family members' profiles to your mAadhaar app, you can access your family member's Aadhaar details, download e-KYC, lock/unlock Aadhaar, and use other features for them with your PIN.
