The initial public offering (IPO) of DAM Capital Advisors Limited, which opened for subscription on December 19, 2024, is nearing its close. With just one day left, prospective investors have until 5:00 pm on December 23, 2024, to place their bids. This public issue has already garnered significant attention from Indian primary market investors, recording 6.98 times subscription within the first two days of bidding. Adding to the excitement, the grey market premium (GMP) continues to reflect positive investor sentiment.
DAM Capital Advisors IPO
The IPO is being offered within a price band of Rs 269 to Rs 283 per share. Investors have shown interest, with retail investors leading the charge. As of now, the retail portion of the issue has been subscribed 8.96 times, while the Non-Institutional Investor (NII) category has witnessed a robust 11.49 times subscription. However, the Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) segment remains underwhelming with just 0.07 times subscription.
Grey Market Premium
According to market observers, DAM Capital Advisors IPO GMP today stands at Rs 161. Although this is a slight dip from Friday's GMP of Rs 170.

The GMP essentially reflects the grey market's projected listing price for DAM Capital Advisors shares. With the upper end of the IPO price band set at Rs 283, the current GMP suggests that shares may list at approximately Rs 444 (Rs 283 + Rs 161), translating to a potential gain of over 60% for successful allottees.
Several factors contribute to the robust response to the DAM Capital Advisors IPO like, positive grey market sentiments, subscription base, and market optimism.
For those who have already subscribed or are planning to do so, here are some crucial dates:
IPO Closing Date: December 23, 2024 (5:00 PM)
Allotment Date: December 24, 2024
Listing Date: December 27, 2024
These timelines will determine when successful allottees can see their shares credited and start trading on the stock exchange.
Subscription Status
The 6.98 times overall subscription figure as of now reflects strong demand, particularly among retail and NII investors. While the QIB category has lagged, it's not uncommon for institutional investors to submit their bids closer to the closing hours of the IPO.
Investor Allocation
The IPO has been structured to cater to a broad investor base, with 50% of the issue reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), 35% allocated to retail investors, and 15% set aside for non-institutional investors (NIIs).
