Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) commissioned 2,000 MW of solar capacity at the sprawling Khavda solar park in Gujarat. This achievement propels AGEL into the echelons of India's renewable energy giants, making it the first company in the nation to surpass 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacity.
AGEL's operational portfolio now stands at 10,934 MW, cementing its position as the largest renewable energy provider in India. The company witnessed an addition of 2,848 MW of renewable capacity in the fiscal year 2024 alone.

The operational portfolio of AGEL comprises 7,393 MW of solar capacity, 1,401 MW of wind energy, and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity. This mix of renewable sources underscores AGEL's commitment to harnessing multiple avenues for sustainable energy generation.
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group stated, "We are proud to be India's first das hazari in the renewables space." He emphasized AGEL's journey from conceptualizing a greener future to realizing it with a phenomenal 10,000 MW in installed capacity within a decade. Adani highlighted that this accomplishment reflects the Adani Group's dedication to facilitating India's transition to clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
Looking ahead, AGEL has set ambitious targets, aiming for 45 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030. Adani announced plans for the construction of the world's largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, a colossal 30,000 MW project that stands unparalleled on the global stage.
The impact of AGEL's operational portfolio extends beyond mere numbers, with the capacity to power more than 5.8 million homes and mitigate approximately 21 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.
