When it comes to keeping your account safe and secure from Cybercrime or unwanted fraudulent activities, our country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) never fails to keep its customers updated via its social media platforms. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi today SBI has guided us on a way to follow for Cybersafety. Via its Twitter handle SBI has said that "This Ganesh Chaturthi, Let Lord Ganesha guide you to the path of Cyber Safety."

SBI always suggests never to click on the links that ask you for free gifts or goodies. The unsecure links can steal the confidential details of your account which result in you becoming a victim of phishing attacks or scam.
As an important update, SBI has also said in another Tweet to never share confidential details of your bank account. Via its Twitter handle the bank has said that "Sharing is not always caring. SBI says never share your bank details & ATM or UPI PINs with anyone."
According to the lender, messages from fraudsters look like this 'Congratulations on winning xxxxx lakh. Click on kyc.com & share your account details to claim your prize now.'
Through a cautionary notice India's largest public sector bank has confirmed that "SBI or its employees will never ask for sensitive information like Account Number, Debit Card Details, Internet Banking Credentials, OTP, or advise you to click on third party links, through phone/SMS/email. Beware of individuals/parties that ask for such details on the pretext of being from SBI."
SBI has also suggested not to share account details, click on unknown links, reply to fake bank email IDs. If you fall victim to any fraudulent activity then you should not hesitate to report your complaints at cybercrime.gov.in or dial the helpline number of SBI 155260.
