IndiGo Cancels Around 200 Flights on March 2

India's largest airline, IndiGo, has cancelled nearly 200 flights on March 2 due to rising tensions and continued airspace restrictions in the Middle East. The cancellations affect services connecting India with destinations such as Kuwait, Muscat, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah.

Routes impacted include flights between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and several Gulf cities.

Air India Suspends Flights Till March 2

Air India has taken broader precautionary measures by suspending all flights to and from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Israel and Qatar until 11:59 pm IST on March 2, 2026. The suspension also affects select Europe-bound services connected to the Middle East airspace.

"In view of the continuing situation in the Middle East, Air India has extended the suspension of services," the airline said in a statement.

Emirates Halts All Flights From Dubai on 2nd March Temporarily

Emirates confirmed that all flights to and from Dubai were halted for several hours on March 2. The airline initially suspended services until 1100 GMT, citing safety and operational challenges following regional airspace closures.

Etihad Airways Suspends Flights From Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways also reported significant disruption, suspending flights to and from its hub until 1000 GMT on March 2. The carrier said services would resume only after authorities confirm that airspace conditions are safe.

Qatar Airways Pauses Operations as Doha Airspace Remains Closed

Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended all flight operations due to the continued closure of Qatari airspace. The airline stated that services will resume only after clearance from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, with a further update scheduled by 09:00 Doha time on March 2.

Lufthansa Cancels Flights Until March 8; Check Routes

Germany's Lufthansa has cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, Dammam, Erbil and Tehran until March 8. Services connecting its network with Dubai have also been suspended until March 4, reflecting growing caution among European carriers.
