MRF, a leading tyre firm reported a whopping of 73% profit for the fourth quarter ended September 30.
MRF's profit stood at Rs 619.42 crore during the quarter against Rs 353.98 crore reported a corresponding quarter a year ago.
The company's net sales rose to Rs 9,743.98 crore as against Rs 7,458.73 crore a year ago.
The company's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 19 per share, in addition to 2 interim dividends of Rs 3 per share. Adding all, the dividend would works out to be Rs 25 per equity share of Rs 10 for the year ended September 30 2011, the company said in a statement.
MRF's scrip zoomed on the bourses after company announced its last quarter results.
At 1:40 pm IST, the stock was seen up by 0.27% or 18.65 points to 6,950.10 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
