At 3.10 pm IST, the 30-share BSE Sensex was at 16471.64 up by 282.28 points or 1.74% and NSE Nifty was trading at 4968.65 up by 94.75 or 1.94%.

In Asia, all the major markets were trading in green, the Nikkei 225 was up by 88.04 points and was at 8466.40. The Hang Seng was up by 615.55 points and was at 19,627.43. The Shanghai composite was up by 91.07 points and was at 2,297.23.

Among Sectoral indices on BSE, all the sectors were trading in positive terrain sectors trading. Realty, Consumer goods, Metal, Auto were leading the rally.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the top volume gainers were Maruti, Hindalco, JP Associates, L & T and Tata steel posted gains between 2.72%-3.09%

And the only loser in the trade were Ranbaxy (0.30), ICICI Bank (0.75), Gail (0.68), ITC (0.22) and TCS (0.55).
