The 30-share benchmark index ended the trade at 26559 down by 97.68 points or by 0.37 per cent, while the NSE Nifty ended at 8050.80, down by 15 points or by 0.19 per cent.

On the global front, Asian peers ended the day on a negative note. While, European counters were also trading in red, with all CAC, DAX and FTSE in negative terrain.
