Karnataka state budget was presented by Chief Minister Siddaramiah on March 18, 2016. CM of Karnataka has proposed various tax on products such as liquor, petrol etc.
Here is a list of things getting expensive from tomorrow in Karnataka.

1) Petrol and Diesel Price
Petrol price would go up by Rs.1.89 per litre, with four percent increase in tax to 30 percent from 26 percent. Diesel price will be 89 paise costlier per litre with increase in tax to 19 percent from 16.65 percent.
2) Expensive beer
Excise duty on beer would go to Rs.10 from Rs 5 and increasing the same duty by Rs 5 on Indian made liquor to Rs 50 from Rs 45. Additional excise duty on beer to 150 percent from 135 percent.
3) Alcohol
Administrative fee of Rs 2 per litre on export and Re 1 per litre on import of spirit, excluding ethanol.
4) Aerated drinks/soft drinks
Value added tax (VAT) has increased from 14.5% to 20% on aerated and carbonated non-alcoholic beverages whether or not containing sugar or sweetening matter or flavor or any other additives including soft drinks and soft drinks concentrates.
5) Transportation
The budget also increased motor vehicle tax on transport vehicles to mobilise Rs 121 crore additional revenue next fiscal. Higher ticket prices on interstate private buses.
6) Cable Services
Entertainment tax which was at 4 percent increased to 10 percent from six percent collected from multi-system operators and direct-to-home service providers.
7) Property tax
There will be a hike of around 20-100 percent under property tax.
Apart from these there is an increase in power tariff and borewell charges depending on the site size.
