Indian Stock Markets Closed For Eidh: Asian Markets Slump

Indian stock markets were closed on account of Eidh. The forex and the money markets were also closed for trading.

Most of the Asian markets slumped in trade with Japanese Nikkei down 3 per cent, while the Kospi was trading lower by 2 per cent.

The Hang Sang was also down 2 per cent in trade. The Brexit worries once again came to haunt the markets, after te pound sterling dropped against the US dollar.

The UK's Pound Sterling dropped to 1.28 against the US Dollar, as investors scurried to safe assets.
