Key domestic benchmark indices on Friday ended trade higher. The 30-share benchmark index ended trade at 27803.24, higher by 92.72 points, while the NSE Nifty was at 8541.20, up by 31.10 points.

Shares of Biocon rallied to hit 52-week high, after the company reported a growth of 35 per cent year-on-year in its consolidated net profit of Rs 167 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016.

Biocon shares ended trade at Rs 816, higher by 16.40 per cent on BSE. The stock touched an intra-day high and 52-week high of Rs 818 during trade.
