Shares of Jaiprakash Power Ventures rose 10 percent on Thursday as the company's board is going to consider restructuring of its business.
The boards of Jaiprakash Associates and Jaiprakash Power Ventures will meet to consider the recommendations of committee of directors regarding proposals of restructuring.
"The company's board meeting will be held on October 06, 2016, to consider the recommendations of committee of directors regarding proposals of restructuring including divestment of one or more units and review the progress made in the reduction of company's debt," BSE release said.
Shares of Jai Prakash were seen trading at Rs 4.52, higher by 9.42 per cent on BSE at 11.40 am IST. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 4.55 during trade.
