Airtel battling the disrupted telecom industry is offering new services to retain its market share as well as provide better customer experience.
Already battling the disruption caused by the new telecom entrant Jio, Airtel has plans to invest as much as Rs. 2000 over the next three yearrs for its several digital offerings. Meanwhile the company is gearing to launch Voice over LTE or VoLTE service by the end of 2017 across the country.
Some of the other offerings announced by the telecom major include carry forward of the left over data to the next billing cycle available for post-paid users, polling for a postpaid plan in a family as well as protection against damae for smartphones.

For its VoLTE service offerings, MD of the company, Gopal Vittal said that the service is already under trial in 5 of the cities and by the end of this year, the company will be able to take the service all through the country.
The offerings are part of the company's efforts to retain its market share and provide better customer experience.
New offerings in detail
Beginning August, the post-paid customer segment of Airtel can now carry forward any left-over data as per their plan to next billing cycle. For details on the data usage and the rolled over or carried forward data, My Airtel app can be used.
Additionally, for families, the Airtel has allowed subscribers to create a customized plan wherein they can include multiple postpaid accounts and save as much as 20% . Also, there is an option to pool and share data across accounts.
