The app would soon be launched by the tax department that will act as a one-stop solution for all taxpayer's IT related issues. The new app would be loaded with functionality such that all of the work related to tax can be handled through the app.

The news of the launch of the new app for taxation needs comes on the back of launch of Aaykar Setu app with both mobile as well as desktop functionality. The services offered through the app include tax payments, PAN and TAN.

Nonetheless, the app being developed in house shall emerge to be even wider in scope and the PAN details of the individual shall be mapped to individual's profile that covers all financial and tax-related details of the concern exclusively.

Furthermore, the app shall be working at par with the recent online scrutiny provision and queries as well as complaints can be dealt with via MyTax app. The move is to make the administration of taxation tasks more tax-payer friendly as well as non-intrusive.

The personalized app linked to the log-in shall also be providing tax-filing facility, but the facility would be offered on an immediate basis or not is still not made clear. These and other exercises are also led by the Narendra Modi government as the Prime Minister has urged the department to work in a direction such that taxpayers do not fear the department.

Also, as reported by one of the leading business dailies, taxmen is considering to introduce a jurisdiction free assessment, such that assessment shall be executed anywhere across India without the limitation of a specific ward or assessing officer.
