Stocks In IT, ITeS Trade Mixed On Huge Servcie Tax Demand
The sentiment of the scrip in the sector was not bogged down with huge service tax demand as the scrip emerged as top gainers in trade today.
After the huge Rs. 10000 crore demand notice has been issued to as many as 200 companies in the IT and ITeS space, the shares are trading mixed.

This is despite the NIFTY IT pack doing well with a positive of 0.74% and trading at 11199.
The service tax demand news has been reported in one of the leading business dailies which says that the companies in the sector have been asked to pay back the export benefits which has been claimed in the last 5 years or so.
The claim for additional service tax payment along with fee payment is being levied on these firms.
Few of the sectoral scrips including Mindtree, Infosys , KPI, Tech Mahindra, Wipro were seen trading higher in the afternoon trade.
