Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Davos-Klosters, Switzerland today to participate in the World Economic Forum, where he will deliver this year's opening plenary address on Tuesday. He plans on sharing his vision for India's future engagements with the international community, reported PTI.

The World Economic Forum is a non-profit foundation that engages powerful leaders in the field of business, politics, education, journalism, etc to come together and shape the world's agenda. An annual meeting is conducted at the end of January attracting over 2,500 leaders around the world. This year it will be the 48th annual meeting and will take place between 23rd to 26th of January, 2018.
In his departure statement on Sunday, the prime minister said that India's engagement with the outside world in the recent years has become "truly and effectively multi-dimensional covering the political, economic, people to people, security, and other spheres"
He is looking forward to separate bilateral meetings with Swiss President Alain Berset and Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven in Davos to boost relations with these countries.
Modi will host a dinner for global CEOs today. He will interact with global business community members on Tuesday.
