To continue to a have significant market share which enabled the new telecom entrant reap up profits in just a span of nine months, Jio has once again revised its earlier popular plans to offer an additional data of 500 MB per day.

The availability of extra data shall be made from January 26 as part of the Republic day celebration. Further as part of the 'Republic Day offer' the company will double the validity period of Rs. 98 pack from 14 days to 28 days.

As per sources, "Jio will always offer more value to its customers, and offer Rs 50 lower price than competition and 50 per cent more data on its plans. As part of Republic Day offer, all existing 1 GB per day packs enhanced to 1.5 GB per day, 1.5 GB per day packs enhanced to 2 GB per day".

In neck to neck war and in a way to boost average revenue per user (ARPU), telecom companies are making their tariffs competitive and recently Airtel has introduced a Rs. 399 plan with 1GB 4G data and unlimited calling for 84 days time.

Bharti Airtel had recently introduced Rs 399 plan offering unlimited calls and 1GB 4G data daily with 84 days validity.
