Trade Deficit For February Declines To $9.60 Billion
Trade deficit for the month of February came in lower at $9.6 billion on the back of decline in oil and gold imports. For the month of January, the trade deficit was reported at $14.73 billion.

As per the data released by the trade ministry on Friday, imports declined 5.41% to $36.26 billion while merchandise grew 2.44% to $26.67 billion in comparison to the corresponding period a year ago.
Also, import of gold during the month declined 10.81% on a year-on-year basis to $2.58 billion in comparison to the imports of $2.90 billion in the same month in the year-ago period.
