Struggling with reduced fleet strength, Jet Airways has suspended 12 international flights according to an IANS report citing industry insiders on Friday. The agency's sources said that the airline has suspended services to locations like Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Riyadh, Manchester, Singapore, and Dhaka among others till 30 April.
However, the flight to Pakistan was cancelled on account of air space closure and not due to a cut in fleet size.

The report further said that apart from suspending flights, frequencies on some international destinations was reduced.
On March 19, the aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had said that Jet Airways only has 41 aircraft in its fleet for operations out of around 120 planes. Further attrition in the fleet size and flights is also expected in the days to come.
The full-service airline has a total estimated debt of Rs 8,000 crore in addition to payables such as vendors' dues worth Rs 15,000 crore.
A Times of India report said that Jet Airways has grounded 13 aircraft in the last five days, and may now only have about 30 planes in its fleet.
Meanwhile, in its share price rose by almost 3 percent after consecutive falls on reports that SBI-led group of lenders is going to re-initiate talks with the Tata Group to invest in the carrier.
