The number of users of credit card has gone up noticeable over the last few years. One needs to thoroughly understand the tricks of using it to avoid paying huge bills. One should understand there financial needs and limitations before using the so-called plastic money which is also considered as a form of the financial instrument during an emergency.

Understand the Spending Pattern
There is a need for the young generation to understand their spending habits. The interest rates of credit card are too high and usually falls in the range between 24% - 48% per annum, hence one should not go by the assumption of easy access of money and instead should depend on it only if there is a need for immediate requirement. Most of the people prefer to not use a credit card either because they don't want to overspend or due to lack of understanding to use the card.
One should track their expenses carefully and try not to go overboard against the set limit, or else you may end up spending heftily.
Tracking Expenses
One should monitor the total amount that adds up as they swipe every time using the card. Always remember the bill payment due date and make necessary payments accordingly to avoid penal charges.
For Example: If your credit cards due date is on 20th of every month, one should strictly remember the same without fail. If you have purchased anything using the card do keep a tab of the final credit card bill total and make the payments before the due date. One should always maintain sufficient bank balance to pay off credit card dues or else the banks will levy late payment fee on unpaid due balance on credit cards.
Get discounts on purchases
Some of the banks provide discount or bonus or cash back offers if the purchase of a product is made using their respective credit card. One should avail this offer and get benefited from it. Most of these discounts are offered for shopping online, movie tickets, utility payment, dining, travel bookings, club membership and so on.
