Interestingly, to ease the work of super senior citizens aged 80 years and above, it has been decided that these individuals will be able to submit life certificate beginning October 1 and its validity will remain until November 30 of the subsequent year.

Currently, life certificate is to be submitted with the pension distribution agency in November as a proof that the pensioner is alive. It is to provide an extra time window as such senior citizens faced difficulty standing in queue to submit such forms.

Nonetheless, as a substitute or a relaxation to such individuals, there is a facility wherein individuals need not be present physically to submit the life certificate and can instead opt for Jeevan Pramaan' an Aadhaar based Digital Life Certificate or DLC. This DLC has a unique id called the Jeevan Pramaan Id.
