New Delhi: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his relief and happiness over the successful rescue of all 41 workers trapped in the collapsed Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand. The workers had been trapped since November 12 and were finally rescued on Tuesday evening.

Safety Audit of Under-Construction Tunnels
In the aftermath of the incident, Gadkari announced that the government will conduct a safety audit of all under-construction tunnels. He commended the well-coordinated efforts of multiple agencies involved in the rescue operation, marking it as one of the most significant rescue operations in recent years.
