On the seventh year of its anniversary, Reliance Industries-backed Jio has launched extra data and special vouchers in its prepaid recharge plans of Rs 299, Rs 749 and Rs 2999. These offers will be available from September 5 to September 30, 2023.
Under Rs 299 recharge, Jio is offering 2GB data per day with unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS for a period of 28 days. This is the initial plan benefit. However, under special benefits, the company is offering 7GB of data extra.

On recharge of the Rs 749 plan, Jio is offering 14GB extra data over and above the normal benefits. Here, in its normal benefits, Jio gives 2GB of data per day with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day for a period of 90 days.
Further, the Rs 2,999 recharge plan will have special benefits like 21 GB extra data, 20% off on Netmeds (up to Rs 800), Rs 100 off on Swiggy, free McDonald's meal on purchases of Rs 149 or above orders, 10% off on Reliance Digital, and upto Rs 1,500 off on flights and 15% off on hotels up to Rs 4,000 with Yatra.
The initial benefits of Rs 2,999 recharge is 2.5GB data per day, unlimited voice and 100 SMS per day for a 365-day period.
These special benefits are offered from September 5th to 30th, on the above-mentioned recharges.
Jio stated that extra hall be credited to eligible customers MyJio account immediately, on recharging. Also, these extra data will be credited as data vouchers in the MyJio app, and users will have to redeem the voucher from the app.
The total count of patent applications filed worldwide by Jio is 1,120. Among the key areas covered by these patents are 5G and 6G technologies, and Distributed Ledger Technology.
By the end of FY23, Jio carried a 55% share of India's total data traffic. While 113.3 billion GBs' of total data consumption is on Jio's Network. Also, 5.1 Trillion Minutes of Total Voice Consumption was recorded on Jio.
Reliance Jio is one of the very few companies globally to have designed and developed a complete 5G solution from scratch. This will enable India to enjoy world-class 5G services using 100% home-grown technologies and solutions.
The company planned an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore in 5G. Jio entered into a strategic partnership with Google for its Cloud Solutions to power the 5G experience of Indian enterprises as well as consumers.
