The central government has stated that the maximum reimbursement of Navodaya Vidyalaya School (NVS) Principals' medical claims will be raised. The Department of School Education and Literacy has previously published a memorandum in this matter. The Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy published a circular in this respect, noting that the central government has adjusted the yearly medical reimbursement claim threshold for NVS Principals. The previous maximum of Rs 5,000 for an NBS Principal has been hiked to Rs 25,000 if the medication was done at a Government or CGHS recognised facility, according to the circular.

The threshold for medical reimbursement for (Against Medical Advice) AMA treatment has also been altered by the central government. Instead of the present Rs 5,000 cap, an NVS Principal can now claim up to Rs 15,000 from AMA for treatment. The other terms and conditions regarding the medical reimbursement cap for NVS workers will stay unchanged. In respect to the 7th pay commission pay matrix of the NVS Principals, this is a big update so far before DA restoration which is fixed on 1st July 2021. A meeting of members of the National Council of JCM, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), and the Finance Ministry has been scheduled on June 26 as lakhs of Central government employees are awaiting a salary hike expected in July.
The major goal of this conference, according to Shiva Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM, will be to settle the 7th Pay Commission DA arrears to central employees and 7th Pay Commission DR benefits to retired workers. In light of the COVID-19 epidemic, the three installment of dearness allowance for central government workers and DR for retirees, which were due on January 1, 2020, July 1, 2020, and January 1, 2021, were delayed.
