Adani Group will purchase a 72.8% stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre for Rs 820 crore, marking its entry into the pilot training sector. FSTC operates advanced simulators and flying schools across India.
Adani Group has announced its entry into the pilot training sector by acquiring a 72.8% stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC) for Rs 820 crore. FSTC offers comprehensive training services, including commercial pilot licences, type ratings, and specialised skill courses. It operates simulation centres in Gurugram and Hyderabad, along with flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul.

Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, along with Horizon Aero Solutions Ltd (HASL), will acquire the stake in FSTC. HASL is jointly owned by ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP. Share purchase agreements were signed on November 27, 2025, with Flight Simulation Solutions Pvt Ltd (FSS) and FSTC's existing shareholders.
Focus on Aviation Services
The acquisition aligns with Adani's strategy to create an integrated aviation services platform. By adding FSTC to its portfolio, which includes Air Works and Indamer Technics, Adani can now offer services across civil MRO, general aviation MRO, defence MRO, and comprehensive flight training.
India's defence pilot training ecosystem is becoming a significant opportunity. This mirrors trends in civil aviation where simulator-based training enhances safety and efficiency while reducing costs. The company sees this as a chance to support the next generation of Indian defence pilots.
Growth Plans for FSTC
FSTC has ambitious plans to expand in both defence and civil aviation sectors. The acquisition is seen as a crucial step in scaling operations across these domains. With Indian airlines set to add over 1,500 aircraft, the demand for certified pilots is expected to rise significantly.
Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, stated: "This acquisition is the next step in our strategy to build a fully integrated aviation services platform." He emphasised the importance of supporting India's defence pilots through advanced training initiatives.
The government's focus on advanced training and mission rehearsal for armed forces presents new opportunities in defence simulation. This aligns with Adani's philosophy of contributing to national security by enhancing pilot training capabilities.
ADSTL is a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), while Horizon Aero Solutions Limited (HASL) is a joint venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP. HASL functions as a step-down subsidiary of AEL.
