Apple Set to Unveil Long-Awaited 24-Inch iMac Models In Late October

The tech giant, Apple, is gearing up to launch new 24-inch iMac models by the end of October, according to recent reports. The news comes as a breath of fresh air for Apple aficionados who have been eagerly anticipating an upgrade to the beloved M1 iMacs.

Bloomberg's tech expert, Mark Gurman, made the revelation in his weekly newsletter, suggesting that Apple might finally refresh the three-year-old M1 iMac lineup ahead of its upcoming quarterly earnings announcement, scheduled for next month.

Furthermore, Apple has reportedly been grappling with dwindling supplies of the iMac, as well as the 13-inch MacBook Pro and high-end MacBook Pro. A quick visit to Apple's official website reveals that numerous configurations are now back ordered until mid-November. This supply shortage has raised speculation that Apple is preparing something big for these Mac models.

Gurman shared his insights, noting, "Apple had aimed to release a larger, pro-focused iMac soon after the 24-inch iMac launched. Under the original road map, you would have seen the M1 24-inch iMac, then an M2-based iMac Pro, and, finally, a 24-inch iMac refresh." However, the company had to postpone the iMac Pro due to cost concerns, disrupting their original plan.

Apple is scheduled to release its quarterly financial results on November 2, marking the first time since 2018 that the company has done so, typically presenting these results in late October. In a remarkable coincidence, the last time Apple hosted an iPad and Mac event was on October 30. Gurman speculates that the new iMac models could be unveiled on either October 30 or 31, adding to the excitement surrounding this announcement.

Gurman also shared the news regarding the iMac Pro, stating, "This larger model is still poised to follow the 24-inch one, coming in either late 2024 or 2025. It will have a 32-inch display, making it the biggest iMac in Apple's history." This tantalizing tidbit gives Apple fans something to look forward to beyond the imminent release.

Apple's decision to refresh its iMac lineup and the potential announcement of new models is sure to generate buzz in the tech world. With the anticipation building, October is shaping up to be an exciting month for Apple enthusiasts as they eagerly await the official unveiling of these highly-anticipated iMacs.
