The Hinduja group's flagship company, Ashok Leyland, ranks second in India for commercial vehicle manufacturing, fourth globally for bus manufacturing, and 19th globally for truck manufacturing. This week's attention will be on Ashok Leyland's shares since the company announced that the Board of Directors would meet on Friday, May 16, 2025, to discuss the proposal for a second interim dividend for FY 2024-2025.
"We wish to inform you that, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 to inter alia consider the proposal of second interim dividend on the equity shares of the Company for the FY 2024-25," Ashok Leyland said in a stock exchange filing.

The record date for the first interim dividend, which was Rs 2.00, was November 19, 2024. The firm has issued 22 dividends since June 30, 2003. Ashok Leyland's share price is at Rs 234 as of May 14, 2025. The company's dividend yield, with a yearly dividend payout of Rs 6.95 per share, is around 3%. Recent announcements of dividends from the firm include an interim dividend of Rs 2.00 per share, with a record date of November 19, 2024, and an interim dividend of Rs 4.95 per share, with a record date of April 3, 2024.
The record date for the second interim dividend, if declared, would be Thursday, May 22, 2025 according to Ashok Leyland.
"The Trading Window for dealing in the securities of the Company has been closed for all the Designated Persons and their immediate relatives from April 1, 2025 and till the expiry of 48 hours from the date of audited financial results for the financial year ended March 31, 2025 are made public," informed Ashok Leyland to stock exchanges.

"We wish to inform you that, pursuant to Regulation 29 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 to inter alia consider and approve the standalone and consolidated audited financial results of the Company, for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025 and to consider the proposal of final dividend, if any, on the equity shares of the Company for the financial year ended March 31, 2025," said Ashok Leyland in a stock exchange filing.

"Ashok Leyland is forming a base near ₹225, showing stability after a mild correction. The stock has immediate resistance at ₹238-₹240. A breakout above this level could trigger a rally toward ₹250-₹255. Volume activity remains moderate, but any pickup with a move above resistance can add strength. Support is firm at ₹220. Traders can consider long positions near current levels with a stop loss at ₹220 and watch for a breakout confirmation," commented Riyank Arora - Technical Analyst - Mehta Equities Limited.
