Online astrology and mental wellness platform Astrotalk has recently announced a significant financial boost, securing Rs 55 crore (approximately USD 7 million) from Bangalore-based Elev8 Venture Partners. This investment forms part of a larger funding round totalling Rs 110 crore (USD 14 million), marking a pivotal moment for the company as it seeks to expand its offerings and global footprint.

Elev8 Venture Partners, with its USD 200 million maiden growth-stage fund supported by South Korea's KB Investment, focuses on investing in high-growth Indian startups. The sectors of interest for Elev8 include B2B SaaS, Enterprise Tech, Consumer Tech, FinTech, and Healthcare Tech. This round of investment into Astrotalk is the second from Elev8's maiden fund, emphasizing the fund's confidence in Astrotalk's potential for global scale and innovation.
With the newly acquired funds, Astrotalk aims to broaden its services in various regional languages and formats, enhance its international presence, and strengthen its team. Since its inception in 2017, Astrotalk has rapidly grown to boast over five million active users and more than one million monthly transacting users. While it primarily caters to Indian customers, the company is making strides in extending its reach internationally.
Puneet Gupta, the Founder of Astrotalk, expressed enthusiasm about the investment, stating, "With Elev8's support, we have a local domestic institution that believes in our journey and vision. We are advancing our growth plans and will be launching newer apps, geographies and categories this year." He further highlighted the company's ambition to solidify its status as India's largest Spiritual-tech company.
Astrotalk's expansion plans are not limited to digital offerings. The company also intends to venture into selling certified Vedic wearables like gemstones and crystals. This move signifies Astrotalk's commitment to diversifying its product range to cater to the growing demand for spiritual and wellness products.
Navin Honagudi, Managing Director and Founding General Partner of Elev8 Venture Partners, shared his optimism about Astrotalk's future. He remarked on the significant growth potential for the company and praised the management's exciting plans to build a high-growth, sustainable organisation in a unique sector.
This investment by Elev8 Venture Partners into Astrotalk underscores the growing interest in spiritual and wellness platforms. As Astrotalk continues to expand its offerings and reach new markets, it sets a promising trajectory for growth in the spiritual-tech industry.
