Auri Grow India Ltd has launched CarbonKrishi, an AI-enabled platform aimed at onboarding 1 lakh farmers to generate carbon credits valued at Rs 16-50 crore annually. The initiative focuses on sustainable farming practices and aims to create additional income streams for farmers.
Auri Grow India Ltd has introduced a new AI-driven platform, CarbonKrishi, designed to generate carbon credits by involving around 1 lakh farmers. The company, based in Indore, anticipates the platform could produce carbon credits valued between Rs 16-50 crore annually. This initiative utilises AI analytics, satellite imagery, and crop and soil data to assess the carbon impact at the farm level.

AI-Driven Carbon Credit Platform
The platform aims to engage farmers from regions with intensive agricultural activities. It is expected to generate gross annual carbon credit values ranging from Rs 16-50 crore, depending on verification results and current global carbon prices. Auri Grow India Ltd estimates that with a commission share of 20 to 30 per cent, the company could earn Rs 3-10 crore annually from these carbon credits.
Pratik Kumar Patel, Director of Auri Grow India Ltd, stated, "Through CarbonKrishi, our objective is to empower farmers to unlock meaningful incremental income by adopting climate-positive and sustainable farming practices, while simultaneously creating a scalable, asset-light revenue stream for the company." He emphasised the importance of integrating Indian agriculture into the global carbon credit ecosystem using AI and data analytics.
The development of CarbonKrishi involves advanced technologies such as AI analytics and satellite imagery. These tools help in accurately estimating the carbon impact of farming practices. The platform also incorporates structured digital reporting systems to ensure precise data collection and analysis.
By leveraging globally recognised verification frameworks, Auri Grow India Ltd aims to provide farmers with opportunities for additional income. The initiative encourages sustainable farming practices that are beneficial for both the environment and the agricultural community. This approach not only supports farmers but also contributes to a broader environmental goal.
The company's strategy focuses on creating an asset-light revenue model through this platform. By doing so, it seeks to offer a scalable solution that benefits both the company and participating farmers. The integration of technology in agriculture is seen as a step towards modernising farming practices in India.
Auri Grow India Ltd's initiative reflects a growing trend towards sustainable agriculture. By aligning with global carbon credit systems, the company aims to make a significant impact on both local and international levels. This effort highlights the potential for technology to drive positive change in traditional industries like agriculture.
