James Cameron's much-awaited sci-fi spectacle Avatar: Fire and Ash has emerged as the biggest Hollywood grosser in India in 2025, achieving the milestone in just seven days of its release. The third installment of the Avatar franchise continues to dominate the box office both domestically and globally, maintaining strong momentum despite stiff competition from Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna Starrer Dhurandhar.
Avatar 3 Box Office Collection Day 7 in India
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Avatar: Fire and Ash earned around Rs 13.50 crore on its seventh day in India, taking its total domestic collection to approximately Rs 109.65 crore. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within its first week itself, a remarkable feat considering it is competing with Aditya Dhar's spy actioner Dhurandhar, which is also performing strongly at the box office.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Box Office Collection Day-wise Breakdown
As per Sacnilk's reports, Avatar: Fire and Ash opened strongly at the Indian box office, collecting Rs 19 crore on Day 1. The film witnessed a sharp rise on Day 2, earning Rs 22.5 crore, followed by an even stronger performance on Day 3 with collections peaking at Rs 25.75 crore.
After a strong opening weekend, the film saw an expected weekday dip, with Day 4 bringing in Rs 9 crore and Day 5 adding Rs 9.25 crore. The momentum picked up again midweek, as the film earned Rs 10.65 crore on Day 6. On its seventh day, Avatar: Fire and Ash continued its steady run, collecting approximately Rs 13.50 crore at the Indian box office.
With these figures, the total India net collection stands at around Rs 109.65 crore. The previous Hollywood benchmark in India was held by F1, which had a lifetime collection of Rs 105.07 crore. Avatar: Fire and Ash has comfortably surpassed that figure within a week.

Globally, Avatar: Fire and Ash has created a massive impact. Within just seven days of release, the film has reportedly crossed Rs 5,000 crore at the worldwide box office. Of this, overseas markets alone have contributed approximately Rs 3,800 crore.
Avatar Fire and Ash in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam
Avatar: Fire and Ash has benefited significantly from its wide multi-language release strategy in India. Apart from English, the film was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, allowing it to tap into audiences across regions. Made on a reported budget of around Rs 40 crore for its India release operations, the film has leveraged its pan-India appeal effectively.
Dhurandhar Box Office Collection VS Avatar 3
While Avatar: Fire and Ash dominates globally, the Indian box office has also seen a historic run from Dhurandhar. The Aditya Dhar-directed spy thriller has entered the elite Rs 1,000 crore global club, becoming the first Indian film of 2025 to achieve this milestone.
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar Joins Rs 1000 Crore Global Club
After 21 days in theatres, Dhurandhar has reportedly collected around Rs 633.50 crore in India, with a gross of Rs 760 crore. The makers have claimed in the social media that the film's global collection now stands at approximately Rs 1,006.7 crore, including Rs 668.80 crore net earnings in India.
